2000 Vauxhall Corsa won't start

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.2
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
After finishing nights, I got in the car to start it, all dash lights come on as usual, heaters, radio etc etc all worked fine, tried to start but wouldn't, then made a clicking noise, tried jump leads but still would not start, then bump started but no power when I pushed the accelerator, even tho engine was ticking over, put lights on but then they wouldn't turn off, eventually they went off, steering was very heavy, struggled to get window to go up and the central locking wouldn't work, any ideas please ??

Get your battery and alternator load tested .Most large car factors or good accessory shops will check , usually F.O.C .
