Clocks not working when starting the car

All the dials/clocks will not work when I start the engine, when I turn engine off and on again they seem to work.

Thr did suffer from problems with the connection behind the instrument cluster , this is the best link I can find just now that explains . I have also seen similar when the car battery is low , needing a charge or replaced ,
