Flat spot

my corsa automatic seems to hit a flat spot about once a week or so.
i can be sitting at a roundabout and when i see a gap i go to accelorate and there is just nothing there, /?i press the peddle up and down afeww times and after about 15 seconds it starts to pull away slowly and then builds up to normal rev,s.
can anyone help.

Unplug the air flow meter then start it up,
Any improvement?
Then a new Air flow meter will most likely fix it.
These little corsa's do seem to "eat" air flow meters.
