2000 Vauxhall Corsa no power when start car for 10 mins then jerks during driving and intervals of loss of power

Hi Jane, This sounds like a tricky one, could be the air mass sensor. This is a small device attached to the inlet pipe which measures the amount of air which passes through to the chamber, if this is faulty it will produce these sort of problems. Only thing to suggest is to take it off and give it a good clean (not with soapy water).

Has the car been stood for a while before driving?

i've got same problem and i've had spark plugs replaced and some sensor cable replaced but it is still doing it? help me please

which engine is it

i have a 1.0 12v corsa and mine jerks wen im goin throught the gears, it feels like ur gonna run outta petrol. i looked on a forum and it said to check the "KNOCK SENSOR", i havnt looked at mine yet but i willl give it a clean and see what hapens then.

My wife bought a 1.0 12v ecotech version a couple of months ago with the same problem. It actually stemmed from the catalytic converter and eventually resulted in us having to get the cat replaced. The funny thing is though that the diagnostic equipment doesn't pick the fault up very easily so it's not always recognised straight away.
