smokes in morning and keeps setting lamber sensor off (PAIN), smoke clears in a few minutes, but am burning masses of oil, full on dipstick 100 miles later or less dipstick is bone dry and i top it up.
have just had this work done...
16 x tappets
timing chain,guides,sprockets and tensioners
oil pump
oil pick up
gasket
water pump and gasket
new timing chain cover
oil seal
oil pressure switch
oil and oil filter
spark plugs,
that lot hurt my pocket. what else could be the problem.
please help me as i think my mechanic is swindling me!!!!!!!!!

If burning oil that bad more likely to be piston rings / cyl bores badly worn , valve stem oil seals .
