2003 Vauxhall Corsa hard to start

Stepper motor keeps clicking when starting from cold, if you leave it clicking for 2 mins. the car will start, and you can drive it. have fitted new stepper motor which has not helped, same fault. Anyone any ideas? Thanks

Sounds like it MAY be an earthing problem .
