Fail to start and lock after fitting a new door obtained from breakers yard

2002 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2
Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2002
Variant: 1.2
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
My misses damaged the front passenger door of my Corsa. I obtained a replacement door from a breakers yard. I have fitted the door but when I tried to lock it with the key, the locks operated and then immediately unlocked. The car will not start even though the battery id full and all lights work. However, when I turn the ignition on the spanner light on the dash lights up. I have a feeling that the electronics are not recognising the new door. Can this be rectified?

For you the simplest solution is to swap over the old door lock module to the replacement door.
