1998 Vauxhall Corsa ecu swap

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 1998
Variant: 1.0 12v
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
hi, this is another question about the ecu on the corsa b,

basically my bro's car is shot coz the ecu has gone and been quoted silly prices for new one and on a car this age it aint worth it. however in cyberworld, people have swapped ecu's and the car lives again, so wot will he need for his im guessing ecu, transponder and the key for it all of which is found on ebay for £35 !!

will a straight swap work ie 1.0 12v for 1.0 12v (broken for not broken)

cheers

Is your original unit not repairable ,may just be a soldered joint,If not then ,yes you could buy one as you suggest, just tape the key to the lock barrel and use your original lock.
