Not starting after ecu reset

1998 Vauxhall Corsa 1.0 12v
Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 1998
Variant: 1.0 12v

hi guys, this is 4 my bro so what im about to ask is as accurate as i can remember.

basically he had some wrk done on exhaust, new cat front pipe and had to have new lambarda sensor (soz 4 spelling :S) and guy said the ecu had 2 be reset coz the management light was still on, which they done and now the car is not wrking at all. later found out that a reset on these corsa's can surge something when the battery put back on and found out fuel pump was the issue but low and behold still not wrking. any ideas guys??

by way he aint paying for this no way coz he put the car in wrking and it aint no more. so the mechanics problem right? and this guys has had all our cars for years but after this no more.

will

Replacing the exhaust front pipe and cat , lambda sensor should not cause car not to start .As for engine light , that should be reset with scanner .Never heard of surging something when battery refitted otherwise there would be literally millions when you think of the batteries replaced or disconnected over the years on Corsas .If the cae wont start you will have to supply more info , is it turning over ? does it have spark and fuel ?

hi thanks 4 the reply, ive spoken to my bro again and he said he was told that the computer didnt clear the management light so a reset was needed ie battery off and when it was re-attatched, the fuel pump WAS blown and changed but still nothing.
he also said he was told it may be the immobiliser staying on hence the electrician guy was needed to test.
the car turns over but dont start by the way

hope this info helps......

With all the guessing what could be the fault and a fuel pump replaced which was o.k before repairs , now suggesting it MAY be the immobiliser , I would take it to another garage .How it wont start after exhaust , cat and lambda sensor replaced , beats me .No reason why not .
