I have a very annoying problem with my car. It will start no prob in a morning I normally take my son to school which is about 1.3 Miles leave the car for about ten mins and when i come back it wont start!! If i leave it for about 15 mins its starts again, Also it has now starting stopping when i drive its ok for about 3 miles then it just cuts out again when left for about 15-30 mins it will start again. Have had it to the garage and they couldnt find anything wrong and of course it didnt happen when the garage tested it they did put a new valve on the fuel pump as he said it was most likely getting starved of petrol but this has'nt helped Can Anyone shed any light???

req distributor cap and arm if its the engine im thinking about quite common

have tried the distributor any other idea's?? Its also had a new Ignition coil the Garage is Stumped

try the crank shaft sensor

if your car has distributor which it shoul have according to the year of the car,suspect a faulty ignition module

I had this problem and they found it was the crank shaft sensor,it had sensored that there was a problem with petrol so it cut the petrol off and just wouldnt start. The brakedown driver said it straight away, so when i put it in the garage they lifted the back seat to get to a petrol pipe were a jubilee clip had come off. They repaced the clip put my back seat back and reset the sensor. It might be the same as mine, sounds the same, you can only try, hope this helps.
