2004 Vauxhall Corsa no reverse gear - flashing r

When I select R , It just comes up as a flashing R not a solid R. There is no drive or nothing. Please help?

Check all wiring / connections at gearbox.If not that you will need to get it scanned .

try disconnecting the battery and leave for an hour connect and try again if not you will need a full diagnostic check doing these gear boxes and electronics are a problem and can be expensive to repair so get it checked out properly
