my central locking does not work with my remote key it tries to open door but shuts again straight away , but i can open and close doors manually perfectly can anyone help me

could be a broken wire in A post trunking or if it works ok using key in drivers could be faulty door lock motor on drivers door

roverman thank you for response so quick im new to this so i dont know how to thank you ,i have found out that the car had a small shunt to the offside and this would explain problem . would it be easier to by a new door or strip door paneling off to see extent off damage .

as i said not sure how to type back to people yet but i will . .lol. the car has had a small bump to drivers door area and this would explain a lot should i change door or try and strip panel off to see if i can rectify prob

would be best to take door panel of and check what is damaged
