2006 Vauxhall Corsa recharged battery, won,t start after putting back in car, get clicking noise from under bonnet

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2006
Variant: SXI 1200CC
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I took the battery out of the car to recharge it, when I put it back in after full recharge it would not start. I got a clicking noise from under the bonnet and one of the lights on the dash kept going on and off. It wasn,t even turning the engine over just the noise from under the bonnet. Is the battery completely gone ?. Please help

Check all battery terminals and earths .Also check wiring/connections to starter .If all o.k , get battery load tested .If it has any dud cells , wont hold a charge .Any place like Halfords or accessory shop will test battery usually FOC.
