Vauxhall astra 2011-how do you no when water pump not working or broke.
Jingle kind of noise coming from front drivers side of car. seems to come and go, more notice at lower speed and when taking foot of gas.

Is it an Astra or a Corsa ? What engine in car ? If water pump knackered tends to overheat .

if it has chain driven petrol engine could be the timing chain if not too bad change oil and filter may help as chain tensioner works on oil pressure
