2008 Vauxhall Corsa crunches in reverse

hi craig,
i had a vauxhall astra with a crunching reverse gear which vauxhall looked at but couldnt resolve,myself and mate took the o rings out greased them up and it was fine.have you tried this just an option.

Thanks my friend no I don't like medalling with things I'm not sure on in case I make it worse I'm annoyed because I had it in vauxhall 3 times and I'm selling the car soon and I don't want to sell it like this ,thanks for your time and trouble best wishes Craig.

I've just had the car serviced by vauxhall and they were supposed to have replaced the o ring don't know if they have or even greased it not sure but have it on my invoice

If you look in the hand book, it will say when putting in to reverse gear, you will need to wait 3 seconds before actually trying to engage the gear..
