1998 Vauxhall Corsa dipstick tube broke, help!!!!

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 1998
Variant: 1.0 corsa b
Categories: Engine & Drivetrain
hi i have a weird problem. the dipstick tube has broke off where it attaches to the sump so no longer attached at all. basically i can pull the whole tube out of the car. is this an easy fix? i was wondering coz there seems to be no screw threds on it so its not bolted on, its like its welded on and its just broke. i was thinking about fixing it back on with some liquid metal. will this work???

cheers

the dipstick tube is normally a slight interference fit with a bit of lock tight so as long as yours hasnt snapped leaving a bit in the block then you should be ok with your suggestion
