2005 Vauxhall Corsa shaking engine and petrol smell

Hello,
My 1l, 55 reg corsas engine started to shake on low revs, at about 1k it shakes the most, and then calms down going past 2k, and that shking is far from normal, its much stronger then it should be. And there is a stron petrol smell coming out of the engine.
Ive checked, and I am pretty sure that it is petrol smell, and not exhaust smell, and that its comming out of the engine and not from the exhaust pipe.
Could anyone please give me any ideas what that might be, and maybe how can I check it myself without going to the garage first.

Soundslike you have a missfire issue and the smell is un- burnt fuel,A cylinder balance test or diagnostic read would be required first.
