2003 Vauxhall Corsa heater not working

Tem gauge works but heater blows cold, please help as i have no idea was going to take to garage but someone mentioned Matrix and i really cannot afford that at the moment !!!!!

Hi, it could be a number of things, but first off, when the engine is cold check the coolant level. If it`s low, top up with water/antifreeze.
It may be a faulty thermostat, an airlock in the system or even that the heater control switch is not opening/closing the valve that lets the water thru the system,and yes it could be the heater matrix, but its not too expensive.
Try and find a good independant garage to have a look and get a quote.

I have the same problem and have been told it will be expensive to fix as the whole of the dashboard has to come out and both front doors off. Surely this is not necessary is it ?
