2000 Vauxhall Corsa erg replaced now problems

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.00
Categories: Leaks & Noises
RAC man told me I needed ERG replacing only had it done cos I was informed emissions would be OK to pass next months MOT. Since it was done blowing loads of fumes. Was advised to put in stop smoke will this work? How has it happened? How do I fix it?
I would be most grateful for any advice, need the car for next 9 months, MOT very soon!
Thanks in advance! Danny

Possible water leak from gasket of EGR valve, causing coolant to mix with Exhaust gasses in EGR.

Try replacing gasket, or EGR, could be dud!

I you had it done at a garage go back and complain as quite obviously the car has started smoking since it was fitted so it must be something they have done, was it code read prior to fitting to see just why it should need an egr
