loud ticking coming from throttle body ,and eml light and spanner sign flashing in time to noise, have tried another throttle body earhing out the ecu on throttle body but nothing , scanner comes up with throttle position not learned .. heres the strange bit if you un plug the carb the car will start straight away but no rev for obviouse reasons , once plugged in will rev to 1500 rpm as if in limp mode , when nyou clear the fault code using my eyhos system the car revs fine and idels perfect for a bit then when reving the engine the rerv counter goes eratic and stalls , but wont start until you unplug the carb again and go through the prosses again confussed mechanic .com lol any help grately appreciated once sorted will have time to post lots of bits and peices that i know on variouse cars

Try earthing out the e.c.u. body to a good earth point on the body or temporarily to negative post on the battery.Try cleaning with electrical cleaner the connections on to your throttle body and pedal,try resetting e.c.u. by disconnecting battery.
