1998 Vauxhall Corsa after 60 miles of driving all dashboard lights appear and car stops

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 1998
Variant: 1.4i
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
On short journeys the car is brilliant.
However, once I travel over 50-60 miles in distance the engine management light turns on and as soon as I reduce speed all the other lights appear on the dashboard.

I have learnt that if I put the car into 3rd gear and accelorate the car will jump back into driving ok again. But after another 10-15 miles of driving the speedometer then dissapers slowly to 0 but I can still be driving at 70mph.

I have had 2 mechanics now look at this problem. The first one changed the crank shaft sensor and the second changed the cam shaft sensor. I still have the same issues.

Can anyone help or advise?

Thanks

There is a known fault on Corsas where the wiring plug / connector at rear of instrument cluster can cause this fault .
