2004 Vauxhall Corsa engine wont start without 'easy start'

Car: Vauxhall Corsa
Year: 2004
Variant: 1.2 CDTI
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Engine will not start. Turns over fine. Even a warm engine that has just been switched off wont start. However, if I spray a little bit of easy start into air intake, engine coughs into life and then runs fine. The emission light has also just come on (wasn't at first). Engine has normal power and fuel consumption. I am guessing there is a sensor that has failed? Any ideas? Many thanks.

have you checked the spark plugs for carbon or dity plugs. have you tried adding a fuel treatment to the fuel to see if that helps.

we have an 54 reg 1.3 cdti corsa at my work . it was fine then one morning it wouldnt start. gave it some easy start and it fired up and was fine . couple of hrs later still wouldnt start so easy start again but then it would only start with easy start . after trying various things we finally traced the problem to a pressure valve on the end of the fuel rail on top of engine held on with 2 torx bolts when we removed it we found it has 2 rubber O rings which were both damaged obviously effecting the fuel pressure . we fitted another valve any way and it fired staight up hope this helps someone

HI Mad Mark

I'm having the same problem with my corsa 1.3 cdti can you please kindly advise me more for information on this.

As my car will only push start or if I spray easy start in the air intake.

Thanks
