i charged the battery on my van put it back on, all the lights etc come on but when i turn the key nothing happens any ideas.

Double check battery terminals and also check for any bad or corroded connections at the starter/ solenoid .

could it be a immobiliser problem.

Why did you need to charge battery in the first place ? Is the battery o.k i.e no dud cells or any cells gassing ? If any dud cells , wont hold charge .You could check if there is power going down to starter with a meter or test lamp .
