Vauxhall Combo engine management light on showing censer problem but changed but still on

Just bought the van but engine manage management light on but mechanic cant find the problem the van when driven goes into limp mode he reckons its a censor problem or electrical he said there has been lose wiring and 1 wire he cannot locate where it goes, would it not be a case of starting from scratch with the wiring i,m thinking it must be fixable

Everything is fixable.
First thing is get it scanned and the with the correct fault code there's a better shot at a repair.
Without a specific "P" code were in the dark here.
Try some body with Vaux diagnostics as it's more accurate.
