ok ive just replaced alternator + tentioner and put on a new battery but van still wont start any ideas at what the problem could be?

Heater / glow plugs getting power and working o.k ?

havent checked glow plugs as it is trying to startjust not firing but also battery light is staying on?

On some models the warning light was controlled by a seperate relay in the drivers footwell panel, near the bonnet release.

Just noticed your is a 2004 , info was on relay was for earlier models BUT might still apply .

Have you checked your ground lead is okay.Also is it the Isuzu 1.7 engine ,if it is then it,s probably your e.d.u. Unit at the rear of the engine.I have done a post on that as it happened to me.But only relevant to Isuzu not v.hall engine.
