1999 Vauxhall Combo veering to the right

Car: Vauxhall Combo
Year: 1999
Variant: 1.7d
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
hello i have a 1999 combo van . i replaced the n/s bottom ball joint about 6 months ago and had the tracking done . since then the new ball joint has gone and i have had to have 2 tyres on the n/s front because the tracking is out again. the car is every now and then veering to the right when driving along in a straight line i have checked the wishbone and all seems ok there ,does any one have any ideas why it has ruined a bottom ball joint and 2 tyres (i know its because of tracking ) and why is it veering to the right . thanks rob
p.s could it be strut top bearing or rubber ?

check the steering rack for play and also check that the uj joints from the steering colume to the steering rack are free check the track rod ends are free and not seized you will also need to get the tyres replaced and the tracking done again would get a full four wheel alighnment where they check camber etc
you should also check the chassis for damadge if other people have driven it they may have been kerbed hard causing damadge
you could also check the front brakes binding etc could cause it to pull as well

My guess is that the tie rods are shot. Need to replace these and then a retrace. A full geometry check will tell you any problems with the vehicles setup...
