2004 Vauxhall Combo fuel pump not pressorizing

I have a combo the van lay in my drive for 6 months I drove it for a year prior to this was running perfect an when I went to start it it was turning over bt nothing gave it a wee snort of easy start an started bt cut out again total unresponsive when pressing excelerator so got a boy I no to have a look an told me engine was goosed so he put an engine in it bt it still not starting as the fuel pump isn't pressurising the tank there is power leaving the relay bt no power at the pump iv got a feeling this has been the problem from the start bt after spending a fortune a don't want to scrap it also don't want to spend much more on it any help would be massively appreciated thanks

If you know for certain that the punp is not powering,i.e. you have physically check the wiring at the pump for a voltage supply,using a multi-meter or 12v test light.The next step would be to supply the pump with power and earth to make sure it functions.you can do this straight from your car battery, run a twin core/or use a power probe to give it voltage,obviously disconnect the plug first.there is a small inspection hatch in the rear of your combo that lets u access the tank sender/pump.If the pump works u can check at your filer canister that it,s actually lifting fuel,hope this is of help.

Thanks I was gona just give it a feed from the ignition bt was told I may fry the ecu cause it dosent know whats happening would this be possible or do you recon it's worth ago cheers mate
