2004 Vauxhall Astra side back passenger door and boot won't open, completely locked!

Hi,
Hope somebody can help me out here,I drive a Vauxhall Astra 2004 reg 1.7 cdti and as of last month my boot has now packed in along with my side back passenger door, totally jammed and won't open under any circumstances.I went to my local vauxhall dealer and was advised to ring the manufacturers in Luton to explain what has happened. The vauxhall garage quoted me in excess of £400 just to strip one door down to see what was going on.
Rang Luton and was put through to customer service, they said because the car was out of warrently there was nothing they could do!I also mentioned the fact that there are pages and pages of vauxhall owners with the same problem on the internet who have had to suffer and all it entails: re hazzardous to the safety of children and others in the event of an accident, that it seems to be a design fault!
In reply I was told that the car was out of warrenty and to take it to a vauxhall dealership at my expense, I made a statement of the fact, that my car and others of the similar moder plus the Zafira were all out of warrenty when they were all recently recalled due to a fault to the Horn, they also mentioned my complaint was the only one thet have received, so perhaps it needs a bit more of complaints from people who have the same problem. If anyone has had this problem or knows how to sort it could you please let me know, it would be very much appreciated.

If not working with the remote ,could be wiring broken where it passes from pillar through into door and where it passes into tailgate at top.You will have to pull off door trim and boot trim to really check it out .If not that need to check locks , could be both faults .

Try locking yourself in the car then opening the door manually see if that works because I have the same problem renewed the catch and it still won't open any other way be told it could be faulty wiring + circuit board/computerize trouble,

Hi colleen don't know if you've solved your problem with the doors not opening yet but ive got mine working again it was the wiring that had broken where it runs into the door panel with the rubber seal round it, Hope this information come on some help to you, good look, eddy.
