2000 Vauxhall Astra engine light

I find when I am doing more than forty miles an hour my engine light comes on for about 7 seconds and goes off, this occurs about 3 times on my journey to work which takes about 25 mins. The same happens on my return journey, I have no clue what this means or if it causing any problems to my car. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Get a diagnostic scan carried out and see what shows ? Could be something minor but worth checking in case it develops and causes problems .
