Vauxhall Astra engine wont turn on

sometimes after i havent drove the car for a couple of days and especially in wet / cold conditions the engine wont start and just turns.
My astra is a sxi, not sure if this has any relevance.
any help would be brilliant

Maybe you have a little bit of damp in the system. Needs to be dried out before spraying with a water repellant.

its a 1.8 petrol engine!
sometimes in cold weather the breaks ciese up although i had them tested and was told they were fine... any tips on this??
