2001 Vauxhall Astra diesel no revs

I had an accident with my van and now it starts no problem but it will not rev !

im not to sure on the diesel but the petrol astras have a fly bye wire module on the accelerator pedal which means there is no cable as its done electronically via the ecu a little like infrared signal but if the diesel is the same set up then this could be the problem but or could be a bad sensor somewhere ie tps throttle position sensor faulty have this checked out by a garage or better still could you get the car to a garage and have them plug there diagnostic machine in to it to reveal the fault

right get it plugged in on computer it can either be throttle position sensor or cranksensor if you had a crash then mite have damaged it
