2001 Vauxhall Astra ecu?

my car stopped suddenly a few weeks ago, i have had a dianogstics test twice and it came up with a cam censor and the coil pack. both have been change but still no joy. i am now told it must be the ecu pack but i am having trouble getting one. can i use an ecu pack from the same engine and does the numbers on the ecu need to corrosponde or does it not matter?

You should check wiring to camshaft sensor , you can get problems with that , also crankshaft sensor .Re. ECU , check here for help / advice / availability ,
