1999 Vauxhall Astra whistling noice and engine warning light.

i have noticed a whistling noise whilst accelerating and once i press the brakes the engine warning light comes on and goes off when i turn the engine off and back on any ideas what this could be and help would be appreciated.

Check for any air leaks from manifold , vacuum pipes/ hoses and brake servo .
