2005 Vauxhall Astra not starting

I have an astra 1400 05 plate that wont start,turns over fine battery good,engine light flashes.Ithink its the fuel pump as very little pressure when depressurising system.Have check voltage to pump ok,unable to hear pump with ignition on.tried battery disconnect still no good.replaced fuel filter-just want to be sure havent forgotten anything as pump expensive.Thanks in anticipation

make sure the transponder chip hasnt fell out of the key,has the key fell apart recently? try another key if you have one

Hiya, your problem sounds a lot like mine but I have a diesel. Was it the transponder chip after?
