2006 Vauxhall Astra flooding

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Year: 2006
Variant: 1.6 design
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
why does my astra h flood so easily. one turn of the key wont start and by second turn it is goosed and will never start unless pushed or towed. Have changed the coolant sensor and mechanic from vauxhall changed the coil pack as these are apparently notorious for being poor.
I have never experienced this being so bad on any of the many cars i have had. i guess this is what is called progress !!

Have you tested the battery and starter ? i.e is the engine turning over fast enough ?

Engine flooding and unburnt fuel will cause light to come on .
