2000 Vauxhall Astra power loss

the problem occurs when braking or accelerating heavily and only started happening a few weekes ago after a brake pipe burst. the engine loses all power and the throttle does nothing, then when i take my foot off the accelerator the problem goes away after a few seconds. when this problem occurs the skid light on the dash dashboard come on and stays on. also the engine will sometimes rev on its own when in neutral or while driving. i have tested the mass airflow sensor and cleaned out the throttle body
