2002 Vauxhall Astra high rev count

Try cleaning throttle body .

clean out the idle control valve with some carb cleaner also the exhaust gas recirculation valve too as both of these control the throttle speeds if not sure of these items then seek advise from the garage who will happily point out these items for you and they are easy fixes if you do remove the egrv then you will require a new gasket for this area

Take " thomkas_cars " advice re. ICV if it has one .See here with regard to that year .

Hello everybody, is there any solution to this revving problem at idle . Going through the forums today I found some info regarding cleaning the Idle control valve and throttle body. So I cleaned the the throttle body, but couldnt clean the ICV because this vehicle doesn't have one. The throttle is controlled electronically.
