i have a vauxhall astra 1.4 hti 1997 on a p reg.
It starts ok a ticks over fine. but when i put it in to 1st or 2nd gear the revs go up to 2000, even with the clutch in. Has anyone any ideas.

has your car got a throttle cable or is it fly by wire as fix is dependent on type
