2001 Vauxhall Astra scraping/scratching sound when i turn left

When I turn to the left i hear a high pitched scratching scraping sound. It seams to be coming from the wheel on the drivers side. It stops when I start to break, or at very low speeds. any ideas?

Get it jacked up and see if there is any movement / play at wheel .Might be pad sticking slightly and needing cleaned out and Copperslip grease .Could also check c/v joint on driveshaft .

You might want to check the c/v joint on the driveshaft or it might be a warped brake disk, could also be that the caliper is sticking
