2003 Vauxhall Astra keeps cutting out

Engine keeps cutting out.
Just befor it does, the speedo stops working
and the abs light comes on it usually happens as I slow down. also the engine management light has been coming on, it started flashing, so I took it to have the codes read to find out whats wrong, all the codes were reset and cleared, garage could not be sure of faults. worked ok for 2 days then started to cut out again and abs light came on and speedo playing up.
Any body had same symptoms or can offer a clue?

could be a faulty idle control valve,remove and check/clean or could be throttle sensor,were there any fault codes in system when you took it to garage,if so what were they?

i have a 1.6 club it keeps cutting out when speedo not working its comes a goes its just had a new cam kit fitted and still cutting out
