2000 Vauxhall Astra changing injectors

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Year: 2000
Variant: AstraVan 1.7 Diesel
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
My Astra van is getting on a bit now but is generally OK. It recently began to handle very sluggishly and when cold it takes a few seconds to pull away after pressing down accelerator. Turbo has been checked and OK, but lots of smoke on start up and for a while after, definately a mixture of diesel and oil. Two injectors are leaking so thought it may be the cause of the problem, any ideas anyone? If it is the problem are they difficult to change? seems fairly straight forward in Haynes manual but are there any tricks to getting the old injectors out. Greatful for any comments or help, thanks.

straight forward enough to do if you know a bit about cars, spray up the injectors first with wd40 and let it soak in as the injectors will have carbon deposits on them making them hard to remove, remember to renew the injector seals

i got told on the 1.7 cdti engines that changing the injecters you will need to map the new one to the ecu otherwise is will run like a bag of s**t is this true or am i being had on ????
