2005 Vauxhall Astra fuel trim system lean

I have an engine light which keeps coming on in my car, I have taken it to a garage several times and had a part replaced but this light keeps appearing.

We have looked into it and it states Fuel trim system lean and code is PO171, does anyone have any further info on what is causing this or how to solve the problem??
