2001 Vauxhall Astra engine management light and loss of power

Engine management light has been coming on and off for a few months with no noticeable problems. Then it came on one day and lost power on acceleration. It now does this as soon as the engine warms up - turning off and starting again sometimes clears for a while. Have changed accelerator pedal and EGR valve (both reconditioned). Any ideas as diagnostic not showing a fault code.

I have the exact same problem with my astra at the moment. I have changed the EGR valve, the coil pack, HT leads and spark plugs and theres still no change to the problem. if you do come accross a solution please let me know. running out of ideas here as to what the problem could be.
