2000 Vauxhall Astra car keeps cutting out

i have the same prob my car keeps doin the same thing it jus cuts off then afta a bit starts up. ive changed my Coil Pk & Spark Plugs etc n its still actin up. i have been told it maybe a eletricail fault?

have you had a look at your advance and retard unit? in the wiring loom leading to this there is a braded wire with thin insulation which sometimes wears through and arcs across causing your ad and retard unit to fight against itself so when you put your foot down it actually stops the fuel causing engine stop.. worth checking.

Could check / clean EGR valve and throttle body .This should help you .
