Possibly camshaft / crankshaft sensor / ECT sensor ? Many other causes ,but unless you get it scanned and see what codes are shown , only guessing .

if it is the immobiliser light that is flashing then it could be a key problem.best to get your fault codes read,if it is engine management light it could be a number of things
