is it cranking over when you get the fault?it is temp related so it could be a faulty coolant temp semsor, does the engine management light come on?if so you need to get your trouble codes read to pinpoint the fault

I had this a month or so back on my 1.6 auto. Same issue - it'll run when cold, but the earth fails to the fuel relay when warm. You can bodge it (I bodged mine to get it to a safe location), but if you call these people they should be able to collect, refurb and return your ECU to you in a few days.

It's a fault on (IIRC) the switched ground on pin 22 of the ECU.

You'll need to remove the ECU from the car, and the key, and the immobiliser transponder ring from the ignition barrel for them to run the checks.

Once you call them, they collect via citylink, test it, then call you with the results and ask if it's OK to go ahead with repair. If you do, they waive the test fee. Then once it's fixed they courier it back to you.

They replace the damaged components and any other "common failure" parts, and it comes back ready to plug in and go - no coding needed.

Cost me..£300ish. Well worth it. No probs since!

Hope this helps with your prob .
