Engine keeps cutting out randomly

the problem i have is that now and again 10 sometimes 20 mins into a journey my car will begin to judder/kangoo jump usually when travelling at about 30/40mph then when pulling up to traffic lights or roundabouts i put the clutch down and the revs fall and it begins to stall ive had it into the garage 3 times and spent 350 quid on egr valve, ignition coil, coil pack,cam and new spark plugs have also been changed what could it be?

what you want is a egr valve blank gasket this will eliminate the egr valve and cure the running problems that you are having this is what the dealers do when astras and corsas come in with these problems and they go out running fine and dont have the problem come back

is this an 8 valve engine, if so there is a problem on the ecu on this model, it can be resolved by a dealer uploading the latest software.

I'm having the exact same problem, mines been in 5 times in last 2 months, its a 1.4 enjoy reg 05, old shape. They have now told me that as its low mileage, I'm not driving it properley!! said its got sticky valve?? How do I find out how many valves mine has? its coming to the end of its warranty & feel I'm just getting fobbed off, many thanks
