Hi im trying to get an automatic gearbox fillter for a 95 1.4 astra,tried main dealer,said no longer made or supplied,the sports light is coming on from cold start,and will only pull of in 3rd very slow,once on running temp it runs fine,if I can know longer get a fillter,is there a way to flush it out ???

yes it can be flushed out but you would have to remove the filter and soak it in a form of engine flush but i would doudt that this would be the problem have you checked the level of oil in the transmission because if the level is low this would cause difficult gear changing start the car and then pull out the transmission dipstick and see what the level is at you can only get a true reading when the engine is running if the level is low just top up a little at a time as over filling will not help
