2005 Vauxhall Astra whine

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Year: 2005
Variant: 1.7D
Hi could anybody give me an idea what the problem might be.
There seems to be a whineing from front near side. Its not too obvious but the car is getting noisier as time goes on.
It does not appear to be from the engine what else could it be ??

Many thanks

As " mr suzuki " suggests , could be wheel bearing. Starts off as a droning noise which increases with speed . Best to get jacked up and checked for any movement , spin wheel listen for noise .

As suggested , most likely to be bearing and easy to check .
