when i get to about 60mph my car seems to hold back sometimes also in cold weather i have to hold acc pedal down full and it pops and bangs before starting wont rev till it heats up can anyone help thanx

when was the last time the car was serviced as there is very little the goes wrong with the 8 valve vauxhall engine but the only other thing i can suggest is get hold of some carb/injection cleaner and spray the in to the air filter pick up and see how you go from there but this the cheaper option at the momment

This will have the X16SZR engine fitted and for a time they were having problems with the coil drivers due to faulty engine ECU's. If this is not the case on yours it will more than likely be a plain old mis-fire due to a faulty coil pack or even just plugs and leads need replacing. Other than that nothing goes wrong with these cars.
